Maintaining the correct pressure in the tires is one of the easiest ways of increasing the longevity of your bike. However, it is not the maximum pressure that is indicated on the sidewall. That is usually for heavy duty conditions. Usually, the range of 34-38 psi is optimum for the tires.

Use a cable oiler to feed the lube into the cable sheath. It will not only make the lever, throttle or the pedal feel better but will also give extra life to the cables. The control pivots should also be lubricated. If you have done all this do not forget to replace the worn out cables, too.

The right amount of slack in the throttle cable can also provide you the much-needed grip during needed times.  Having too low amount of slack would also make throttle response hard to control. Always, refer to the manuals for determining the right amount of slack.

Using good quality oil for the filter is also necessary to keep the motorcycle engine in proper condition. For better performance, always use motorcycle specific synthetic oil. The general oils in hardware stores usually end up mismatching with your bike's clutch. So be cautious to repair the bike with appropriate oil.

Using proper lubes for the chain is also a major motorcycle repair that is needed to keep the it in perfect condition. Also, try to fix the length of the chain appropriately. A loose chain can be the source of noise and may break on a deserted road. That is why it is wise to keep the chain intact.

Installing a headlight modulator and a high voltage bulb is also very necessary for repairing unclear vision during nights. These will also improve the visibility of the motorcycle and save you from accidents.

Use a horn that is efficient in letting other drivers know about your presence. Although bike horns are loud, getting an aftermarket repair would add to the presence being felt adequately.

Lastly, changing the seat to get optimum comfort is one of the most important options you can choose to make bike - riding a comfortable experience. Repair it, with an aftermarket product since you would be passing a fathomable amount of your time of life on your motorcycle.

Motorcycle repair is not a heavy task if you are determined to make motorcycle riding a comfortable way of treading the road.
